Ahem. One More Black and White

And yes, that's Leo's tail hanging down in the upper left corner.

Dirt is Awesome

We went to the park the other day. It was a beautiful day. The babies discovered some dirt. Also, in case you couldn't tell, I'm in to black and white photos these days.

Classics

The scratch on the nose is from another run-in with the sidewalk.

Hangin' Out With The O

Olivia was just in town for a visit. As usual, the time passed waaaaay too quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We managed to fit in a shopping trip, lots of good food, a movie, some crappy tv, and (she) even got some work done. We also did each others hair with her new set of hot curlers. Let me show you my masterpiece...

I *may* have used too much mousse.

Abby took full advantage of Olivia's visit.

It's A Big World Out There

Especially when you're a tiny baby. Abby's coordination level and the weather have finally aligned. The result? A baby that is constantly trying to go outside. She now brings me her shoes and fusses/throws them at me until I put them on her feet. Then she runs to the nearest door and reaches for the doorknob until I relent and take her out for a walk. Actually, it's one of my favorite activities too. I couldn't be happier than when I'm walking around in the sun with my little girl leading the way.

And aren't these shoes adorable? Value World special--$3.50.

And now that Rowan can walk, he occasionally joins us.

Incidentally, both Rowan and Abby have discovered the "delight" of falling on cement. I'm being sarcastic, of course. Cement sucks. You can see the result of one such fall in these photos on Olivia's blog--check out the skinned chin.

Go Ahead, Make My Day

Abby is teething. Bad for Abby, bad for Mommy. I wish those darn molars would just pop out already instead of torturing us day after day after day... This morning has been especially difficult. Abby has been wandering around crying and whining for two hours now. The tears on her face don't have time to dry between fits. If I were asked to interpret what's going through Abby's mind this morning it would go something like this:

"Oh my god! The cat jumped on the chair! It's the end of the world!"
"Oh my god! Mommy got up from her chair! It's the end of the world!"
"Oh my god! I dropped my celery! It's the end of the world!"
"Oh my god! The sun's in my eyes! It's the end of the world!"

It's days like these that I enjoy looking at photo albums from happier days, to remind myself that my child is in fact adorable. These photos made my day this morning.

Fun Times with Auntie Beth and Gma Barb

I think the title says it all.
