We're Baaaaaack!
By which I mean in Utah. Ah. The dry air. The mountains. The grandparents. What a wonderful place. We went for a little walk up at Silver Lake the evening of the day we arrived. Abby was a bit out of it at first, what with having no sleep and all, (see photo evidence #1) but soon warmed to hiking the trails and playing in the snow runoff. And as a bonus, we even saw some meese!

A Change of Pace
Alright. So I don't wear makeup. And I don't "do" my hair. Prior to Matt and Meghan's wedding, I don't remember the last time I blew my hair dry or the last time I wore it in a style other than ponytail or braid. I mean, let's be honest, I hardly shower. I prefer to hose off or sit in the baby pool. Of course that's fine (or at least I think it is) for people who play with babies all day, or sit in a lonely office all day, or break out in a sweat every five minutes, but it's not so fine for people who have to stand next to a beautiful blushing bride and her three other gorgeous bridesmaids. In consequence, the afternoon of Matt and Meghan's wedding found me sitting in a salon chair getting my hair and makeup done. 100 million bobby pins later,

my hair looked like this:

And after 20 minutes of painting, my face looked like this:

Every time I walked by a mirror I did a double take. I think I blended in with the wedding party, so mission accomplished.
